Anemometer PA555

The anemometer is designed for use in industrial conditions. It is suitable as an anemometer for cranes (outdoor cranes), as a wind meter on buildings, etc. It is a wind speed meter 0-30 m/s (0-108 km/h). Easy to attach to any bracket with a screw. Low failure rate is achieved by exposing only a few of the most necessary components to the weather, all electronics are located outside the measuring part (in the switchboard).  

It consists of three parts:

• Measuring propeller (combination of metal - plastic),
• 20m cable with connector
• The evaluation unit - reads the signal from the measuring propeller. It measures wind speeds up to 30 m/s.

BASIC PARAMETERS:
Measuring range: 1–30 m/s.
Power supply: optional 10-30VDC, 24VAC, 42VAC, 48VAC, 230VAC.
3 independent output relays with contacts 250VAC/0.5A, optional NC/NO.
Settings using 4 buttons and 10mm LED display.
Relay activation indication by LEDs.
Adjustable relay switching hysteresis.
For indoor and outdoor conditions.
Mechanical design: robust metal box approx. 170 × 104 × 58 mm.
Inputs: anemometer propeller.
Temperature range: -20 to 60 degrees.
Electrical protection: IP54.   Built-in surge protection class D.  
The evaluation unit is for external mounting.  

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:
Microprocessor-controlled unit that continuously evaluates the current wind speed via a signal from the propeller.
Display in m/s.
Built-in digital gust filtration.
Setting the switching mode of the relay (nc/no), switching hysteresis.
3 completely independently adjustable output relays (usually 80, 100, 125% of the maximum permitted wind speed).
When any of the limits is exceeded, the corresponding relay output and the corresponding LED on the front panel of the unit will react.

INTERNAL ARRANGEMENTS:

• PG7 bushing for force sensor cables,
• 2x PG11 bushing and 1x PG16 bushing for relay cables, supply voltage,
• 2 mounting holes 6.5 mm in diameter,
• rubber box lid seal,
• WAGO terminals for easy connection of wires, cross-section max. 2.5 mm,
• 4 micro control buttons and a small display for easy parameter setting,
• heavy-duty metal box suitable for heavy-duty operations,
• Ground terminal.

TYPES OF DISPLAY UNITS

• OP4V3 - basic model of wind speed evaluation without operator supervision.  
• OP4V3-D - allows you to read the wind speed on the display.  
• OP4V3-DT - The transparent display and buttons   located outside the lid allow all settings without having to remove the cover.  
• OP4V3-DL and OP4V3-DLT - large LEDs allow optical signaling of reaching the 1st, 2nd, 3rd level of wind speed. There is 1 output relay available (reaching the critical wind speed limit and eg disconnecting the whole machine).
